Create a Book Reading Plan & Giveaway

January 9, 2025 By Cara Putman

It's the start of a new year and that's an exciting time. It means it's time for a new reading challenge. I use Goodreads to track the books I read (in 2024, that was 100 books), but I know others use different tools. However, whatever tool you use, I love being able to go back and check which books I read when. It's been a great way for me to capture all the books I've read. Yet like many of you, … [Read more...]

Happy Thanksgiving!

November 28, 2024 By Cara Putman

Once upon a time there was a girl who dreamed of writing books. Books were magic carpets that transported her through time and across space. The only problem was her favorite authors simply did not write books fast enough. What was a voracious reader to do? She already haunted the local Christian bookstore, a feat she did with such regularity she'd walk in and the owner would hand the catalogs to … [Read more...]

Six Books I’m Excited to Read

November 14, 2024 By Cara Putman

The rest of this month I have to be nose down, fingers on keyboard, every moment that I'm not teaching, grading or engaged in a most do activity with my family. In other words, the ability to switch between tasks easily or at least agilely. For example, a month ago, I decided to put two of my books on sale this month. Call it a welcome to fall sale. The first of the two … [Read more...]

2024 ACFW Recap

September 12, 2024 By Cara Putman

The 2024 ACFW conference took place last week in New Orleans. It was my first time, and I really enjoyed connecting with my writing friends and getting a teeny-tiny glimpse of the city. I didn't make it to the French Quarter, because it rained four of the five days I was there, but I did slip out to the WWII Museum with my friend Tricia Goyer. I tend to be the person who attends everything when … [Read more...]
