Happy Thanksgiving!

November 28, 2024 By Cara Putman

Once upon a time there was a girl who dreamed of writing books. Books were magic carpets that transported her through time and across space. The only problem was her favorite authors simply did not write books fast enough. What was a voracious reader to do? She already haunted the local Christian bookstore, a feat she did with such regularity she'd walk in and the owner would hand the catalogs to … [Read more...]

AI and Managing Time

October 24, 2024 By Cara Putman

The other day I was on LinkedIn and saw a friend who teaches at Indiana Wesleyan University post about asking ChatGPT to tell her who she was. The 2024 ACFW conference took place last week in New Orleans. It was my first time, and I really enjoyed connecting with my writing friends and getting a teeny-tiny glimpse of the city. I didn't make it to the French Quarter, because it rained four of the five days I was there, but I did slip out to the WWII Museum with my friend Tricia Goyer. I tend to be the person who attends everything when … [Read more...]

Some bookish quotes for you

July 25, 2024 By Cara Putman

Last week and this week, I've been surrounded by some pretty amazing young women in my day job. I'm also writing book three and in copy edits for book two. It's been full, y'all. Fun, but full. I'm honestly pretty tired as I've poured into more than 55 women each week. So today, I wanted to share some fun bookish quotes with you. These are from classic books, and I thought you'd enjoy them. … [Read more...]
