It’s THAT time of year again! That time when we turn our clocks ahead and no longer have to drive our kids to evening activities in the dark. That time of year when those gray mountains of dirty snow in every parking lot begin to shrink. That time of year when a chorus of birdsong greets us in the morning.
Everything is pointing toward spring. The hint of it is strong in the air. But it’s not quite here and winter will still tease us (and perhaps even bully us) once in a while.
Whenever my kids have asked me my favorite season, I always respond: I like every season while it’s here, but I’m always ready for the next one to arrive.
Though I love many things about winter, I’m waiting on spring …
To help pass the time, join in the Spring Scavenger Hunt, an annual event put on by numerous Christian Fiction authors. The start of the hunt is at Lisa T. Bergren’s website. From there, all you need to do is follow the links in each consecutive blog post, pick up the clues at each stop, and then at the last blog you’ll enter all your clues to be eligible for grand prizes.
The hunt is a lot of fun. You’ll not only have the chance to win prizes, but you’ll also get to meet some fantastic authors and hear about their books.
AND… as if that wasn’t enough, there are many additional giveaways throughout the hunt. One such giveaway is on my blog. I’m giving away my upcoming release, A Reluctant Bride. For a chance to win the book, head over and join in the fun!
Are YOU still waiting on spring?

Hi, Jodi thanks for this give away it sounds like it will be a great read. I am waiting for spring like everyone else. I love the smell of spring and fall. I like winter, but am not a big fan of summer. I have had heat exhaustion and I do not tolerate heat at all. I have also had Melanoma ( skin cancer) so summer for me is staying in the house where it is cool, limited exposure to the sun, and if I go out I have to have lots of sun block, or clothing that covers me from head to toe. So I look forward to spring and fall, but dread summer. Winter I both love and kind of hate, but it depends on the weather and how severe, or mild it is! Thanks.

I enjoy spring when everything seems bright and new. Fall is my favorite! The leaves changing colors and a nip in the air. When my kids were little, there was anxious times waiting for the day when they could see their breath as they went out for the school bus. Fall rolled into winter and preparing for Christmas, decorating, crafts, baking cookies and writing Christmas cards. Family devotions each year and a time around the tree, hearing about the Christ child. My husband was a Pastor, and busy, but we never tired of Christmas cantata, the Children’s play. Summer is too hot and humid here, I have to stay inside. I read a lot, so that part is good.
