Want to go to England next year?

June 12, 2018 By Julie Klassen

As I write this, our second group-tour of England is one year away (Lord willing, as I always feel compelled to say when planning anything so far out). We had such a great time with our first group, that we’ve decided to offer another trip next summer. And since our own Becky Wade was just in England, the timing seemed right to post this.

The trip dates are June 11-20, 2019. How much fun it would be if some Inspired by Life and Fiction friends traveled with us! Here is a preliminary look at what we have planned:

  • Stay in a wonderful manor house and highly-rated hotels. Enjoy delicious meals and afternoon tea.
  • See thatched cottages, charming villages, shops and tearooms in the lovely Cotswolds region.
  • Visit Shakespeare’s Stratford-Upon-Avon. Optional add-on evening performance (depending on availability).
  • Tour the idyllic National Trust village of Lacock, used in filming Pride and Prejudice, Cranford, etc., and the model for the village in the TALES FROM IVY HILL series.
  • Visit the scenic Cornwall coast, setting of The Tutor’s Daughter and the popular POLDARK series.
  • Spend time in the Georgian city of Bath, with its stunning architecture, museums, and gardens.
  • See the ancient site of Stonehenge.
  • Tour Jane Austen’s House, where she wrote her beloved novels.

What a great trip that will be! One of these days I will get back to Great Britain, but my husband would not be happy if I went without him! 🙂

My husband and I are definitely, 100% planning on coming on this trip! What’s “funny” is that we were already planning to go to the British Isles next year and he asked me about making plans. I told him one of my all time favorite authors took a tour there last year and that I would check to see if she was doing any more. Sure enough, you had just posted about this trip on your website the day before! I’m so excited to go on this trip and meet you, I have loved your works for years now!
