What a Day! & Giveaway

A little over a week ago, something amazing happened…I got a text from a friend that The Accused had finaled for the Christy in the Mystery/Thriller/Suspense category. The craziest thing about it was that this friend — Jaime Jo Wright — didn’t stop to tell me that she had finaled. The crazy woman only wanted to talk about my book (and my hyperventilating craziness when she then called to celebrate with me.
Read to the bottom where you can participate in a giveaway I’m runningg to celebrate. Being a finalist with Jaime, Lynette Eason, and Kate Angelo is truly a joy.

But what makes it amazing is how this represents the DNA of my experience inside Christian fiction’s circles. From my first moments pushing a toe across the edge of the line to see if I could be a writer, people have been so kind and generous with me. We brainstorm for each other’s books. We scan each other’s chapters when we need input. We share each other’s books in our newsletters and on socials. This supportive spirit has made this a community that is near to my heart.
Then you add readers. Readers often invest their time and resources in my books. That’s quite the gift. Treasure is huge so you can buy our books. But your time is another finite, and precious, resources that shouldn’t be overlooked as the gift it is. There so much I can learn from the ways that writers I admire have let me into their world and share their experience, name through endorsements, and friendship with me.
Writing can be a lonely world, but when I’m in Nashville the first Friday in November, I’ll be celebrating with my friends as their amazing books are celebrated. And I’ll be celebrating that for almost fifty books and twenty years, I’ve been gifted an opportunity to be part of this world.
