Y’all there are so many great books out right now. It’s amazing! I’ve had such fun reading through a variety of great books. Here are a few that I’m enjoying with a few I can’t wait to dig into!
I adore Jen Turano’s books, and her Storing Up Trouble is one ebook deal right now for $1.99. If you haven’t read any of hers yet, then this one will give you a great feel for her Gilded Age, comedic romance. They are so fun! And I adored the characters in this one. Such a good read.

This collection of Katherine Reay’s books is $2.99 in ebook right now. Lizzy and Jane is one of my favorites, but all are so good. (Dear Mr. Knightley is literally sitting next to me as I type. Readers rave about it, but it’s next on my list.) Her books are inspired by different classics and have rich characters. If you haven’t tried her books, yet, this is a great way to start.
Flight Risk is one of my favorites and is also $1.99 right now. I adore this cover, and I love Savannah’s hunt for truth in a fake news world. It’s on ebook sale for a limited time…no idea how long, but if you love romantic suspense, I think you’ll like this one.
I’ve also gotten some amazing book mail this week. The first is Kim Duffy’s latest book, A Tapestry of Light. The cover is STUNNING. And I can’t wait to dive into this beauty of a book. I got to know Kim a bit at a writers brainstorming weekend I organized in December. Her passion for story and characters is amazing.
I also love this cover! It looks like a Gilded Age version of The Bachelor. I’m curious to see how the plot works and have heard it has amazing humor. Look at that endorsement on the cover. If Jen thinks it’s funny, I bet I will too.
What are you reading right now? Found anything fun you want to share with the rest of us? And be sure to enter the giveaway below! I’ve got more books to share!

I’m reading Hours to Kill by Susan Sleeman and engrossed in it.

That is such a good book!

Right now I’m reading “Red Mars” by Kim Stanley Robinson and also a science non-fiction book “Astrophysics for People in a Hurry” by Neil deGrasse Tyson. K. S. Robinson had described the marsian environment in so detail that it gives feeling like you exactly at that beautiful place. Pace of story good, I wish if somebody adapts this novel into web series, it will be awesome.

That’s a fun variety of books.

Thanks for the recommendations, Cara. I’ve heard such good things about Katherine Reay’s books, but since I read historicals almost exclusively, I’ve never gotten around to giving them a try. I just grabbed the collection and can’t wait to see what I’ve been missing. 🙂

I read so broadly it’s crazy. I’ve really been enjoying the Little House on the Prairie books with my ten year old. It’s been fun to rediscover this favorite series from my childhood.

How fun! I shared the Anne of Green Gables books with my daughter. That connection through books is special. 🙂

Such good reads! I love all of Katherine Reay’s books and Jen Turano’s books are hilarious! I am new to Kimberly Duffy and Grace Hitchcock. But A Mosaic of Wings by Kimberly Duffy is on my TBR pile right now, and I recently won a copy of My Dear Miss Dupre (from Jen Turano!) so I am super excited that both of these authors are highly recommended.
Also, I am going to take advantage of the amazing sale on Flight Risk!
Cara Putman says
Sounds like we’ll be reading the same books, Stacey!

Thank you for the recommendations. I have read two of the books and look forward to reading the others.
I enjoyed the FB discussion between you and Katherine Reay. I loved Dear Mr. Knightly and think you will too. If you haven’t read Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster, I recommend reading it either before or after Dear Mr. Knightly. So much fun to see where Katherine Reay got the idea for her book.
I think Flight Risk is my favorite book by you, Cara. Hard to really commit to just one of your books, they are all so good!

Ruby, It was so fun to have that conversation. Such a joy to get to reconnect with her. And thank you for your comment about Flight Risk. I love that book!

So many of those are on my list to read! Right now I’m switching between Julie Klassen’s Castaway in Cornwall, Elizabeth Camden’s Prince of Spies, and Amy Lynn Green’s Things We Didn’t Say. They are all so good!!!A

I loved Prince of Spies and have the other two on my never-ending TBR pile. I need to pull them to the top.

I read the “American Heiresses” trilogy along with Jen Turano’s other novels from the library. (She’s got a mystery one out now) Definitely fun reads! I recommend reading the “American Heiresses” novels in order because there are characters and story lines that follow through each one. Of note, “Storing Up Trouble” mostly is set in Chicago; Harry Gordon Selfridge has a small role! (He got his start at Marshall Field’s before he crossed the pond and started his own store in London) I’ll leave it there.

Sounds like we both love Jen’s books!

I recently began volunteering as our church librarian. Do you have any good recommendations of Christian fiction books that would be geared more toward a male audience? We have a few on our shelves, but the majority are geared toward the female heart.
I love your stories and listened to Flight Risk audiobook recently. Right now I’m reading through “The Ark, the Reed, & the Fire Cloud” by Jenny L. Cote. It’s a (thick) junior fiction story that tells the tale of how God called the animals to the Ark & their adventures.

I’ve only binge-read two series – The Chronicles of Narnia and The Space Trilogy, both by CS Lewis. Loved Storing Up Trouble and Flight Risk. I’ve read other Katherine Reay books and enjoyed them.

I have been reading through Janette Oke’s “When Calls the Heart” and now “Return to the Canadian West” series for the last few months. Wonderful books! I am in the middle of the last book and plan on finishing it in the next week. My next read will be Sharlene MacLaren’s book “Maggie Rose.” I read the first book in the series a couple of months ago and loved it!!
