Hello. Today’s post is brought to you by Santa and his little elves. When in doubt about what to get people for Christmas, a gift certificate to a bookstore (brick and mortar or online) is always a good idea. With everything from how-to and cookbooks, history, religion, fiction of all kinds and those side trinkets that go with books, I can’t imagine anyone turning down a good browse in the bookstore! So with that thought in mind, I decided to show you just a few of the hundreds, maybe thousands of books from my collection, scattered across my house. Just about every room in my home has a bookshelf loaded to the max. The books underneath my tiny beachy tree represent a broad range of what I’ve read this year or what I have on my to-read list. (I show an up-close photo so you can see the titles and authors!)
And the book I’m reading right now, whenever I can sneak away and kick back in my new beach-themed recliner (my early Christmas gift): (Great book, Cara Putman!)
I hope you have time to read books during Christmas and all year long. I’ve tried to make the time this year to enjoy some of my favorite authors (a lot of them good friends, too.) What book are you longing to read right now? Tell us some of your favorites. Hey, we still need some stocking stuffer ideas! Merry Christmas my lovely friends!

Books are always on my gift list. This year I’m giving two cookbooks to my daughter, a nonfiction history to my nephew (a teacher), books to my grandchildren, and a gift card to my sister. And yes, I will find time to read over the Christmas holidays.
Merry Christmas, Lenora!
