“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow…” Isaiah 1:18
Our Easter Sunday morning yesterday brought the most incredibly beautiful snow! It made me think of this Scripture that holds the essence of Easter. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow (to borrow the words from an old Easter anthem.) I hope each of you had a blessed day celebrating the resurrection of our Lord! I’ll leave you with a few views from our windows here in Kansas.

Beautiful, Deborah! Some would complain about snow on Easter Sunday. You saw God’s beauty.

It helped that we hadn’t had a snow to speak of all winter! And when snow comes in March (and especially as pretty a one as ours) you know it can’t last TOO long! 🙂

Beautiful. You take good photos Deborah. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Diana. My trusty iPhone 6s camera does the trick! Best camera I’ve ever had, and so convenient since my phone is always with me!

That’s how it looked in Minnesota too! Our friend’s kids (with a little help) made a giant cave out of the snow at the end of their driveway and had a snow boulder rolled to the side – celebrating the empty tomb!

Oh, what a great idea! I would have loved to have seen that, Rachael!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures

My pleasure, Shelia! It was such a pretty snow, it would have been hard to take a bad picture!

Beautiful pictures! I especially enjoyed the snow covered flowering tree ( is it a red bud? ) and the view through the arched window (made me think of church).
Deborah Raney says
Yes, that’s a redbud tree, Betty. The snow all melted off and the redbud is still in gorgeous bloom, apparently no worse for the wear. That little tree was a volunteer in our front flowerbed. We let it get about 6 feet tall, then transplanted it to our back yard, and it is just the prettiest little tree ever!

Such pretty pictures! =)
I live in Wichita also – and I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to snow on Easter! The snow was so pretty!

Wasn’t it a lovely Easter surprise, Melissa? It didn’t last long though!
