Fall Fun with the Family

October 14, 2014 By Julie Klassen

We braved damp, chilly Minnesota weather to sneak in one last outdoorsy weekend. We went camping at Jay Cooke State Park--one of our favorite Minnesota parks. The temps were in the 40s and 50s, but thankfully the rain stopped before we arrived and the rest of the weekend was sunny and crisp.   We aren’t hardy enough to go tent camping in such cold weather. A Month of Remembrance

October 13, 2014 By Deborah Raney

While October is one of my favorite months of the year, it is also a month of reflection and fond, but sad, remembrance. What do you think about when you think of childhood Christmases? I think of thick, fat snowflakes falling down. Driving to my grandparents' mobile home. Sitting by the woodstove, eating homemade enchiladas, and opening a large pile of presents. I grew up in a small, mill town of Weed, California. All my favorite childhood memories are centered there. Why am I thinking about Christmas in … [Read more...]

Loose Threads

September 16, 2014 By Tamera Alexander

Thanks to the ladies of Northside Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN for inviting me to speak this past Saturday morning and for giving me such a warm welcome. What a fabulous group! One of the ladies, Lynn Bolles Drewry, grew up in Fayetteville, TN and went to high school with my sweet dad (Lynn and I figured this out a few months ago when she attended a book signing at the Belmont … [Read more...]
