Joe and I made a quick trip to Colorado recently to visit old stomping grounds (we lived there for 17 years). You might ask, didn’t you and your daughter just visit Colorado? Why, yes, we did (see that post here). But Joe didn’t get to go. So…Colorado Take 2.
Only this time, the aspens were putting on a show!

We met friends Mark and Michelle Young in Breckenridge, which is where the four of us used to go back in the early 1990s for ski weekends. Over 18 years have passed since we moved to Nashville and it was so wonderful to catch up with them. Lots of laughter with some tears in the mix, too, and time focused on God’s compassionate grace and faithfulness in hard times.

The following pic is of the four of us circa early 1990s skiing at Winter Park and us more recently in Breckenridge. Lots of years have passed but I love that our friendship and bond in Christ remains—even if some hair, smooth skin, and agility did not…

Wherever you are in this world today, I’m praying fall (if applicable season wise) in your area is lovely. It’s raining in Nashville, and while the trees aren’t as glorious as those in the Colorado Rockies, there’s a touch of soggy fall in the air with the calendar’s promise of cooler temps to come. So I’ll take it!
Before you go, one of my favorite ways to listen to the Bible these days is an app called Courage-for-Life. Have you heard of it?

Embrace your God-given courage for life today, and let the transformative power of Scripture touch your life and lead you toward a deeper relationship with God and others.”
I listened to Hebrews this morning. So good. Even though nothing replaces reading a “real” Bible with all those wonderful notes in the margins made through the years, I do appreciate the ability to listen as I’m doing something else. What is your favorite Bible app?
Much love from my corner of Nashville,
Tammy
