Ireland and Scotland…and That’s a Wrap!

November 27, 2023 By Deborah Raney

Thanks so much for your patience as over the past month I've shared our trip to Paris, the UK, and my time in York, England where I got to see the home where my great-great grandparents lived at the time they emigrated to America. Today, is the final installment of our trip—our time in Ireland and Scotland. After our tumultuous ferry crossing, we drove through the lush, green countryside to the … [Read more...]

Greetings from the Netherlands

November 9, 2023 By Cara Putman

This week, I'm writing from Holland. Yep, I'm on another continent. There is sometihing about traveling that feeds my soul and this trip is reminding me of that in all the best ways. Sweet Jordan's is an extraordinary, not-to-be-missed … [Read more...]

Of course that meant we had to walk up steep stairs to get to the places we wanted to go! (Between all the uphill walking and the old streets and sidewalks, I was so thankful that I choose to wear my hiking shoes every day! Much more stable for this old … [Read more...]

Off to Scotland!

June 15, 2022 By D'Ann Mateer

Tomorrow night we board a plane for London. Friday afternoon in Heathrow Airport, we catch a flight to Edinburgh.  We’ve long wanted to do a Scotland trip, but especially after learning several years ago that Jeff’s family did, indeed, come from Scotland many, many yeas ago. But we had kids to get through college and Jeff had a job where it was hard to take any time off, let alone enough … [Read more...]
