I’ve said it before, but I love libraries of all sorts. Not only because I am a book lover, but because one of the ways I supported myself during my college years was by working in the university library. I still vividly remember pushing my shelving cart through all those aisles of books, thinking, If only I could have a book I’ve written in a library someday! Well, God is good and that dream has come true. Like the other Inspired by Life authors, my books are in many libraries across the country, and hopefully in yours as well.

Books at my local library.
In the next photo, I am standing outside my local library in the St. Paul, Minnesota suburb where I live. The library has recently moved to a brand new building. A kind reader had alerted me to this sign, but I visited the new library for the first time last week, and saw the sign in person. (My husband took these pictures. He goes to this library frequently since he works nearby. He loves books and reads even more than I do!)
On the sign, the letters spelling LIBRARY are printed with the names of Minnesota authors, several I’ve been blessed to meet. And there, if you look reeeeeeeeeally closely at the highest R, is my name.
I know it’s a small thing. I realize 999 out of 1000 visitors would never even notice, and that’s all right. But I know it’s there, and I’m thankful for this sign of a long-cherished dream come true.
Been to your local library lately? 🙂

That is SO cool, Julie!!
Wonderful, Julie! I understand how thrilled you are!
That is very cool! I love my local library, and it has books from all of Inspired by Life…. bloggers. Thanks for sharing!
congrats. what a cool thing to have.
So fantastic that your name is on the library sign! My family loves our local library. Now that I’m home part of the week, we’ve explored our neighboring towns’ libraries as well and enjoy our “outings”.
Julie, an honor richly deserved. As a librarian, I have read your books and even hosted you at a library author event, and I am just as thrilled as you! However, I am thrilled to know you, to read your work, to recommend your titles to others who read. It’s a symbiotic relationship, I guess. Or perhaps one ordained from Above for His good pleasure.
What a fun honor to have your name listed there!
I read all your books from my local library. I’m an avid reader and I love all your books!
That honor would make my heart sing! Love those books!
Mary
Oh Julie, how cool is that? 🙂
Not only your dream of writing books came true but also that they are published in various countries 🙂
Yes! Being at the library is like being in paradise in this life time. The highlight of my day whenever I get to visit there. I also go occasionally to the digital library and browse e-books. Also the Kindle Owners lending library . I love to browse books and better still to read books.
I love this! Congratulations from a fellow book lover! I was born & raised in Ramsey county, & my Mom took all six of us kids to the library on a regular basis! I loved taking the bus by myself to the BIG library in downtown St. Paul! 🙂
Yay, Julie! That is so cool. Congrats! We have all of your books at the library where I work. Large print editions too. 😊
Julie, I feel the same. Having a copy of our books in libraries is the coolest thing about being a writer! Some people can’t afford to buy a lot of books or don’t have room for them, but they can read our books through the library. That is a blessing for both the writer and the reader! So proud for you!
That is really cool, Julie! Love all of your books!
Julie, that is so awesome! Congratulations on making THE SIGN. If I ever visit that library, I’ll look for your name. Yes, I’ve been to my local library lately. I visit it quite often. Right now, though, I am rereading a favorite owned book: The Apothecary’s Daughter. You might recognize the title. 🙂
God bless!
Andrea
Julie,
Congratulations on having your name on the Library Sign.
We have all of your books in the church library. The library is 75 years young and we have books for all ages. I’ve been in the library for almost 40 years.
I volunteer 3 days a week and would do more but you have to eat and sleep sometime.
That’s really cool!
I am a devoted reader and love your books. What a wonderful thing your local library did with their sign.I am looking forward to read your new book coming out in December.
I can understand that you would be excited about that! I just recently got a library card. I haven’t used it but once, although it came in handy when I did.
It is awesome! So proud of you Julie! Happy holidays!
Libraries are “gems” in their community. How wonderful to have a life long dream come true. May you and your family have a wonderful Holiday Season. Can’t wait for your new book!!
Totally nót a small thing, I would say! Very cool to be recognized that way!
