My New Novelette–and a Kindle Sale!

July 17, 2024 By D'Ann Mateer

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I wrote a novelette just for my newsletter subscribers. I’m happy to announce that it will drop in my newsletter on Saturday, August 3,  for current readers and will be a welcome gift for any new people from then on as well.  I’ve wanted to do this for a very long time, but I kept overthinking it and talking myself out of story ideas. Then the total eclipse … [Read more...]

Another Boston Trip in the Books

July 3, 2024 By D'Ann Mateer

And are you suddenly wondering about the definition of a novella or even a short story?  I’m here to demystify some of the forms of fiction for those of you who are readers and not writers.  A Short … [Read more...]

New Seasons of British TV

May 15, 2024 By D'Ann Mateer

We are huge fans of British TV, mostly for the depth of character in the storytelling. And the accents. And the scenery.  Anyway, a whole slew of our shows—almost all of them murder mysteries (which at this moment are not the intense police drama kind) are in new seasons so I thought I’d share.  Note: we have both BritBox and AcornTV streaming services. Some of these shows might be … [Read more...]
