Join Me for a Jane Austen “Tour”

February 10, 2015 By Julie Klassen

If you know me at all, you know that I am a fan of Jane Austen. I have been ever since I fell in love with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy in the 1995 BBC/A&E adaptation of Pride & Prejudice.Seeing it led me to re-read Jane Austen’s books and in turn, to set my novels in the Regency period.    So it should come as little surprise that I would be interested in something called an Austen … [Read more...]

I read that holly and ivy have been a mainstay of British Christmas decorations since at least … [Read more...]

Busy, Busy, Book Release Time

December 9, 2014 By Julie Klassen

Last week was BIZZ-EEE! First, I celebrated the release of my new book, The Secret of Pembrooke Park, at my local bookstore. This book launch is my big event of the year—my night to feel almost like a celebrity with a big crowd to cheer me on. If you were to study this crowd closely—or the photo slideshow I play while people are arriving—you would see that many of these same people attend year … [Read more...]
