Scripture Color Art

May 17, 2018 By Karen Witemeyer

I am NOT an artist. I have artwork in my house that my grandmother and mother-in-law painted. My uncle and brother are both gifted with wood crafts. There are plenty of artistic genes in the family, but none in me. I have my own artistic outlets - like cross-stitching - but all I really have to do is follow directions. Anything that entails freestyle drawing is not going to end well if I'm holding … [Read more...]

A Growing Season

May 16, 2018 By D'Ann Mateer

It’s spring! Do you know what that means? Green grass. New leaves. Colorful flowers. The beginning of a season of growth. The truth is, I don’t pay a lot of attention to that kind of thing. Revising my Latest Book My editorial letter for my next book arrived on March 12, and so I have been hard at work over the last two weeks, brainstorming, adding, changing. I know a few writers who absolutely love the revision process. I wouldn't go that far. Sometimes revisions make my head want to blow up as I try to remember what I have added and what I have removed and what I have changed … [Read more...]

Life-Changing Books

April 16, 2018 By Lynn Austin

I’ve been thinking about my spiritual journey lately, along with my journey as a writer. The two are closely entwined. And I realized what a powerful, life-changing effect books have had on those journeys. Space doesn’t allow me to list all the books that have influenced me, but four stand out. The first is “The Hiding Place” by Corrie Ten Boom. Corrie and her family lived uneventful lives in … [Read more...]
