October 22, 2020 By Cara Putman

So many fantastics books have come out lately. I've been reading as my to be read pile comtinues to grow. There's something about the temperatures turning cooler (and the grading piling up!) that makes me want to curl up with books. Today I thought I'd share a few of my recent favorites. I'd love to know what you're reading and will have a giveaway at the end. Yesterday was the release day … [Read more...]

Free Short Story & A Giveaway

October 15, 2020 By Karen Witemeyer

My latest novella collection, The Kissing Tree released this week, and I have to say that I think this is my favorite novella I've ever written. I had so much fun with the characters. I miss reading my students non-verbal cues that are covered by masks. I missed … [Read more...]

Thank you, friends, for your love and encouragement in recent weeks as this novel made its way to publication—and this author had a crash course in indie publishing! <g> You made this journey a much sweeter one. Colors of Truth is a Carnton novel, meaning it's a story steeped … [Read more...]

Wallpaper Wars

October 1, 2020 By Karen Witemeyer

The Victorian era is famous for its busy, floral designs. Ornate, scrolled woodwork on furniture. Delicate porcelain figurines on mantles and shelves. Fringed table toppers and tatted doilies everywhere you look. Dusting day must have been a nightmare! One of the most pervasive trends, however, was wallpaper. Explosions of flowers, cupids, and feathers upon the walls of parlors, bedrooms, and … [Read more...]
