Where Do You Find Your Recipes?

March 25, 2016 By Becky Wade

At best, I'm an adequate cook.  I can follow a recipe proficiently.  But I can't improvise and definitely can't create recipes of my own.  Also, I only enjoy making things like chocolate chip cookies.  Dinner preparation is not bliss for me.  Nor is eating what I cook.  I rarely eat one of my dinners and think, Yummy!  It's usually more like, Well, here's more healthy sustenance.  Since I cooked, … [Read more...]

We would go to my grandparents' house every year for Christmas, meet … [Read more...]

When it’s all about the food, y’all

November 17, 2015 By Tamera Alexander

When Mom passed away in 2009, my sweet sister-in-law, Jackie, and I divided her cookbooks between us, and I even shared some with Mom's friends. Mom had a ton of cookbooks! Which was only fitting. June Gattis loved to cook. Me and mom on my wedding day December 15, 1984 While I enjoy cooking, I really love to bake. That's my passion. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I've been … [Read more...]
