Desire Fulfilled

May 19, 2023 By Robin Lee Hatcher

Book Birthday

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick,But desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”(Proverbs 13:12, NASB95) Back in October, I shared with Inspired by Life and Fiction readers about the historical series I've wanted to write since 2010. Well, at last, at last, the first book in the series is almost here. The official release date is Monday, May 22. But if you can keep a secret 😉, the non-Kindle ebook … [Read more...]

ACFW Conference, Here I Come!

May 17, 2023 By D'Ann Mateer

For many consecutive years, both as a pre-published and newly published writer, I attended the ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) Conference. As I’m wrapping up this chapter (ha!) of my writing career, I’ve been looking back over the entire experience. The unexpected season has been instrumental in teaching me a few things about myself and my writing, so I thought I’d share those with you.  I … [Read more...]

Research Decisions

April 21, 2023 By Robin Lee Hatcher

I’ve got a May deadline for a novel about the queen of Sheba. I don’t have an approved title yet from the publisher or I would share it. The last time I used a biblical setting, it was in Jesus’s day and the four Gospels were my main research resources. I had plenty of manners and customs books and foods of the Bible books, etc., but the Gospels were where I lived for the duration. Four … [Read more...]
